Mobile slaughter compliance guide
USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the availability of a compliance guide for mobile slaughter units. The document presents recommendations and is not a regulatory requirement. Find the guide at www.fsis.usda.gov/Significant_Guidance/index.asp.

DAIRYLINE RADIO: Coming on Tuesday: Gould’s market outlook
The strength of the cheese market has some analysts scratching their heads, especially after bearish Milk Production and Cold Storage reports last week. University of Wisconsin-Madison dairy economist Brian Gould said the strength in cheese is “very surprising,” given higher milk production and higher cheese stocks, and with schools closing down in the near term, diverting more milk from fluid to cheese processing.
Gould thinks the market believes exports will continue to strengthen, even though the European Union is releasing interventions stocks onto the world market. Once the details of EU activity are known, that could impact the market, he said.
